Chair of the Board of Directors

Susanna Miller-Raines

Susanna Miller-Raines, MSW is Operations Coordinator and a Community Support Specialist at the Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University. Her responsibilities are related to inclusive postsecondary education, transition, and leadership development for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). She serves as the Statewide Coordinator for the Georgia Inclusive Postsecondary Education Consortium (GAIPSEC), a technical assistant consultant with Think College, and on the leadership team of the Georgia Interagency Transition Council. Susanna is the project coordinator for the My Voice. My Participation. My Board. training that works with advocates with disabilities one how to meaningfully serve on boards and advisory councils. She serves as the Social Work Supervisor at Adult Disability Medical Healthcare, a medical home for adolescents and adults with IDD.  Susanna helped establish the Southeast Postsecondary Education Alliance and is now serving as the founding chair of the board of directors. Nationally, she serves as Chair of the Community Education and Dissemination Council (CEDC) with the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) and sits on the AUCD Board of Directors.

Susanna has over 20 years of experience in the field of disability and a lifetime of experience as the daughter of parents with disabilities. She has served in roles within the fields of recreation and leisure as well as employment. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Centenary College of Louisiana and received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia. Susanna lives in Tucker, GA with her wife Michelle.
